This book gives you that amazing ability, no matter how tongue tied or writer's cramped you are.
Every day you have a selection of subjects that are as topical as possible - after all they are all about today. If you are planning any event at all - you will always have a reason with this valuable resource (National Muffin Day Celebration).
For a blogger or web copywriter - this is like a box of gold.
How much is it worth to never be at a loss when you need to get out some copy? For me, way more than the reasonable investment of this book.
When is "I love this book" week? (2008-10-28)
It's great fun finding oddball days and weeks to celebrate in Chase's Calendar of Events. This is invaluable for libraries and radio stations. Besides telling you when National BBQ Day is, it also gives a few details about various holidays. I can't count the number of times I used this book during my years as a librarian. Often the information can't be found anywhere else.
I haven't tried the CD-ROM but imagine it would be convenient looking things up on Chase's using the computer. The book is well-indexed, so it's easy to use.

Got exactly what was advertised (2010-03-02)
The item was exactly as described. I am not sure if this was a manufacturer's issue or a storage issue, but the glue holding the pages together fell apart. The pages fell off of the holder and have come apart in chunks. Fortunately for me I did not need the calendar for traditional display because there was no way for this item to be displayed on a day-to-day basis in a mostly-vertical position.

A MUST BUY FOR EVERYONE! (2009-12-05)
I will be ordering the new 2010 calendar after the success of last year's. I bought it for my 89 year old mother when the "new word a day" wasn't available. I wondered if she would use it. My GOSH.. she lives in Assisted Living and each day the question is seen by ALOT of people... they love it, and as we Smarter than a Fifth Graders realize, not ALL these questions are easy... that is what makes it a great gift for any age. My Mom is a volunteer once a week as a mentor for a 3rd grade class, and she picks out 3 questions from the following week to take with her. The kids go NUTS!! Anyway, I love this product and have never written a review before, but had to on this item.

Something for a Southpaw (2010-04-05)
I found this product in late 2008, and got the 2009 version. LOVED IT. Couldn't wait for the 2010 version to come out. Got it too. Then a lefty friend of mine saw it and wanted one, so I got her this one. She loves it too. We need more left-handed items....
Gift was a huge hit! (2010-03-05)
I bought the 2009 Desk Calendar and gave it as a Christamas gift in 2008. Through the first couple of months of 2009 I lived in almost constant fear that one day I was going to get hit in the back of the head with it but by spring I was being read all the neat little facts and when I gave her the 2009 Desk Calendar this past Christmas she was relieved to not have to go back to a traditional right handed style planner. Please don't ever stop carrying this item!
Left handers desk callander (2010-02-12)
This was a gift to a very good left handed friend. His job and social life make having a calander a necessity. His work involves outdoor field work and he says having the left-handed book is so much easier to write in, he has less to juggle around. I will get him another one next year.
Great organizer! (2010-02-06)
This is the second year I purchase this product and I am extremely satisfied. I am left handed and have always had to put up with using right handed friendly products with not many other options. Although I, as a left handed person, am very versatile and have no problems adjusting to the opposites, it is comforting to have something specially made for me. I bought one for me and also one for my LHed boss. She absolutely LOVED it! A definite must for all my fellow LHed people out there. Oh, and the inside facts are just great and confidence boosting.
perfect desk calendar (2009-12-26)
I purchased both of my brother-in-laws, one of these calendars for Christmas. They were both happy to get them and said they would eagerly use them. They liked that the dates were all on the left side so that there would be no crossing over with the sleeve to write on the other page.
