Classic Cars 2010 Wall Calendar: Classic Cars Wall Calendar: Henry Ford jump-started the age of the automobile with the first assembly-line car in 1908: the Model T. Over the next century the automobile evolved from chugging workhorse to tailfin-era showboat to sleek status symbol, complete with sleek hood ornament. Initially a novelty item, the car grew into a necessity of the modern age, and a vector of freedom on the open road. Based on the book 20th Century Classic Cars by Phil Patton.
Odd layout (2010-03-28)The pictures in this calendar are ok, look mostly look like grainy reprints from vintage car ads. However, the really odd thing about this calendar is that the week starts on Monday, with Sunday being the last day of the week. Most calendars I've had start the week on Sunday. The font for the name of the Day of the week is very small, so with the calendar hanging on the wall, I'm always confusing the dates/day of the week.
I'll not be buying this calendar again.

Powerful Photos (2010-08-24)I absolutely love Winston Link photographs. I have tried other calendars with train photos - this one is the very best (my opinion of course). Other calendars lack the power and presence that Winston brings to the image. He has a great eye for what made steam engines so impressive. Viewing these photos remind us of what we have lost when we retired these fantastic machines.
Nice Prints (2010-02-07)Very nice photo prints you could frame these prints once the calendar expires in 2011. If you like americana or steam engines or just admire fine black and white photos this is a good bet.
