Reveals the Mayan calendar to be a spiritual device that describes the evolution of human consciousness from ancient times into the future.

• Shows the connection between cosmic evolution and actual human history.

• Provides a new science of time that explains why time not only seems to be speeding up in the modern world but actually is getting faster.

• Explains how the end of the Mayan calendar is not the end of the world, but a path toward enlightenment.

The prophetic Mayan calendar is not keyed to the movement of planetary bodies. Instead, it functions as a metaphysical map of the evolution of consciousness and records how spiritual time flows--providing a new science of time.

The calendar is associated with nine creation cycles, which represent nine levels of consciousness or Underworlds on the Mayan cosmic pyramid. Through empirical research Calleman shows how this pyramidal structure of the development of consciousness can explain things as disparate as the common origin of world religions and the modern complaint that time seems to be moving faster. Time, in fact, is speeding up as we transition from the materialist Planetary Underworld of time that governs us today to a new and higher frequency of consciousness--the Galactic Underworld--in preparation for the final Universal level of conscious enlightenment. Calleman reveals how the Mayan calendar is a spiritual device that enables a greater understanding of the nature of conscious evolution throughout human history and the concrete steps we can take to align ourselves with this growth toward enlightenment.

The Mayan Calendar & the Transformation of Consciousness by Carl Johan Calleman (2010-07-19)

This book is a must read! & read it before 2011-2012 arrives, you'll be glad you did!!

I read this book first, not realizing that Dr Calleman have written another book on the subject before this book. However, I read his first book later & I liked this one better. I think it was easier to understand.

When I read the book the first time, I had to get used to the Mayan terms that he uses. However, the more I read & looked at his graphs, charts, diagrams the more impressed I became. The more I realized that 'wow! this guy has done it!'. This book rang true, felt true, it rang a bell! When I finished it the first time, I went right back to the beginning and re-read it again, this time underlining parts that were important. Researching history & comparing it to his own research on his 'Matrix', comparing dates & the more I read & researched the more I was convinced that he hit the bulls eye when it comes to interpreting the Mayan Calendar & its true message. So to my surprise when I finished it the second time I started re-reading it again!!!!! Is like I wanted to make sure that I did not miss anything, understood everything he explained; I did some more comparing w/ history, etc etc, & of course, I highlighted some more!! I have never done that w/ any books I have ever read before!! And I am a reader!!

About 6 months later I re-read it again. This was around the year 2007-2008. Now w/ 2011-2012 approaching, I took it out & I'm going to read it again!!:) Call me nuts. In between I have kept up reading all his articles, & there are gobs of them!!! And I also read his first book, & his last book, also very good. My favorite so far has been this one.

Realize this, we are co-creators, the end of time approaching we'll have a decision to make; to co-create or be a slug & fall behind!!

I had to laugh to see some people here putting this book down, Ha! they must be thick minded!! or shallow! Either that or people that do not like Calleman put them up to it!! They're a joke! Read this book for yourself, have an open mind, make your own decision!!. I am not saying that he's the only one that is 'right' about the Mayan Calendar, I think that is very likely that 'most' authors that have sincerely researched the MC have a 'piece' of the truth to its true meaning. Maybe there is going to be 'also' an alignment!! etc etc. Whether its 2011 or 2012 does not matter, in fact, I think is 'BOTH'!! Because it might be that it all gets 'started' in 2011 to end in 2012, when you look at Calleman's matrix you see how each Underworld lasts a certain amount of time, so perhaps there is an overlap. He even mentions that there are overlaps between these Underworlds!.

READ THIS BOOK!! YOU OWE IT TO YOURSELF!!

A Little Dose of Hstory Everyday Goes a Long Way! (2010-09-07)

This is a perfect way to learn more about American History in small, easy to read and digest portions. Everyday is a new snippet of information that is great for the novice just starting to learn more about the history of the United States, or for the history buff that enjoys a quick snapshot review of topics. The subject matter is divided into seven fields of knowledge:
Politics & Leadership, War & Peace, Rights & Reform, Business, Building America, Literature and Arts. Each day is a different field of knowledge and as the book was published in 2007, it takes you through current events such as Hurricane Katrina from 2005. If you like this series, there are quite a few books in this series, such as modern culture and biographies. An additional recommendation is the magazine "Mental Floss". It is a bi-monthly publication full of interesting lessons and trivia.

Always interesting line of books (2010-07-22)

I liked it, didn't love it. One thing I wish the book did was kept in chronological dates for these subjects matters. Most of the material was interesting but it would have been better to follow along with these timelines more accurate. Not a book for a serious history student.

Obtaining Knowledge (2010-06-25)

I have and currently am enjoying this book. It has so much informative information. I enjoy reading and learning as I go along. This is an excellent resource of knowledge. I wish everyone would get one, there is no doubt they'd enjoy it to the fullest.

book was backwards! (2010-02-01)

I bought two of these as gifts. They were a much better deal online than in the bookstores and that is probably because they both had the book binding on backwards. So when you opened the book to read it, you had to flip it over and read it that way - as if starting from the back of the book. It was just not something I wanted to give to someone as a gift. I wouldn't mind so much if it was for myself. I just wish that somewhere in the item description it would have said these were rejects and discounted as such. It added extra hassel to the holidays with having to ship it back for a refund. When I called the Amazon cust serv rep she said that she wouldn't want to return them for other one's b/c the whole batch may be that way. Amazon.com was listed as the seller.

Disorganized (2010-01-24)

Thia book is useless. Icannot imagine it even finding a publisher It doens't confine itself to one area of knowledge but includes a dab of information on random and scattered subjects. I threw it away in disgust.

The Mayan Code: Time Acceleration and Awakening the World Mind

Authors: Barbara Hand Clow
Publisher: Bear & Company
Publication date: 2007-03-29
ISBN: 1591430704
Pages: 304
Rating:
Price: $18.00

Bestselling author Barbara Hand Clow shows how the Mayan Calendar is a bridge to galactic wisdom that fosters personal growth and human evolution

• Unearths the meaning behind the calendar, its message for modern civilization, and what will happen when the calendar ends

• Reveals how time acceleration is a manifestation of the acceleration of consciousness

• By the author of The Pleiadian Agenda

The Mayan Code is a deep exploration of how, as we approach the end of the Mayan Calendar, time and consciousness are accelerating, giving us a new understanding of the universe. Using Carl Johan Calleman’s research, as well as the ideas of other Mayan Calendar scholars, Barbara Hand Clow examines 16.4 billion years of evolution to decode the creative patterns of Earth--the World Mind. These great patterns culminate in 2011, and then during 2012 major astrological influences will inspire us to attain oneness and enlightenment.

The Mayan Code shows how the time cycles of the Calendar match important periods in the evolutionary data banks of Earth and the Milky Way Galaxy. These stages of evolution are converging during the final stage of the Calendar, the period between 1999 and 2011. War and territoriality, resource management and separation from nature, are all part of daily events we must process during these few short years: evidence of the tightening spiral of time that we experience as time speeding up. Barbara Hand Clow counsels that our own personal healing is the most important factor as we prepare to make this critical leap in human evolution--now referred to as the awakening of the World Mind.

Unnecessary Bush bashing (2010-07-06)

I'm halfway through this book and not sure I can finish it. It is very American centric (the author was born in Michigan) and has, IMHO, unnecessary Bush bashing thoughout. Here are a couple of example quotes " ...I was startled to hear the barely intelligible stammering of an extraordinarily ignorant politician thrashing his way through an interview. His annoying nasal voice was cocky, pugnacious, and arrogant." " ...the speaker was George W. Bush, son of George Herbert Walker Bush! An idiot, who sounded like he was swishing marbles in his mouth when he spoke...", "... while a sneaky, snake-nosed hegemonist was stealing onto the world's stage armed with his daddy's personal cadre of Blue Meanies..."

The author also believes that the 911 attacks were given "the green light from military and secret agencies leading all the way to the White House ..." , "...thousands were murdered just so George Junior could beef up the military to invade Afganistan and Iraq in order to control oil in the Middle East."

And evidently the ancient Mayans predicted thousands of years in advance that America would be corrupt and would need to be destroyed. Most of the Mayan calendar content of this book seems to have been taken from another author, Carl Johan Calleman. I'm going to toss this book and read his. If you still really want to read this book, try to borrow a copy or find a used one. Ciao

Reinforcing All the Prior One-Star Ratings (2010-03-22)

Well, it is tough to say what hasn't already been said! I have to admit that I was shocked to read some of the 4 and 5-star ratings. It is like they read (and/or interpreted) just those areas that they wanted to "believe in". Such as a rater who stated, "This book is NOT a doom and gloom portrayal of the future, but is, as I believe, the hope of a better future, a future of peace and love for many as we move forward into an anticipated leap of human consciousness.... " Sorry but it most assuredly is "Doom and Gloom" book in the sense that there are predictions of massive cataclysmic events that will leave a population MUCH REDUCED from what it is now, likely just a small fraction (of which of course will be super enlightened and advanced consciousness souls who will be the "new evolution" of mankind). Hmmm... I wonder just what it is that will happen t all those other BILLIONS of people? Of course that is followed by "Barbara gives in-depth explanations of how the Mayan calendar works, the details of which are a little too technical for me, but that's OK. I don't really need to understand the details of the calendar itself, just her rationale for her analysis....Much of this book resonates very well with me...." Uh, as in brainwashed into a set of beliefs that have to rationale backing at all?

Also information presented as facts are often flawed - if not downright incorrect (scientific findings have their legitimate conclusions re-interpreted by the author at will when necessary to fit in with her "Code" - which was not any actual form of "code" that I could discern. Likewise she has a completely off-base reckoning of Man's evolution and history, also tweaking it and re-interpreting it as necessary to fit within her "explanations".

I find it interesting that if you go to her website ([...]) that you will find this statement: "After thirteen years of teaching the nine dimensions, Barbara and I came to the same conclusion: we had to stop for a while. The fun thing about our "stopping for a while" is that you, our students and readers, are encouraged to teach the material yourselves."

I wonder if the decision to stop teaching is in anyway related to repeated questions about what happened to short range predictions that she made in this book -- and that fell flat on their face. Like the continued power structure of the "Dark Side" elites, the Bushites and the NeoCons - who would greatly contribute to the natural "cataclysmic events" by their pushing the United States into economical failures and war after war after war. Obviously as this book was published in early 2007 and therefore written in the 2005 - 2006 time period and the NeoCons WERE doing exactly this, she rolled the dice that these people would continue in office, that the NeoCons would retain control of Congress and that GWB would be replaced by another NeoCon. But what ACTUALLY happened? The more liberal and enlightened consciously Democrats took control of the Congress in January of 2007 and a more liberal and enlightened consciously Democrat, Obama, took office as President in 2009 (and began winding down Iraq while continuing to fight the correct and "just and moral" war in Afghanistan (that the Bushites initially won - and then lost in their hurry to invade and occupy Iraq and gain tremendous deals with Oil Production / Distribution "special deals").

And then of course the biggie, with her prediction ("channeled prophesy") of peace finally coming to the land of Judea and Palestine with the Jews and Palestinians mutually coming together in an eternal enlightenment of peace -- specifically between August and November of 2008! Ding! Ding! Ding! Not only wrong, but "Super Wrong"...

No wonder the determination of "After thirteen years of teaching the nine dimensions, Barbara and I came to the same conclusion: we had to stop for a while... " I think that I would have not only done that, but also quietly taken down my website!

A Change of Consciousness (2009-08-25)

Clow states that humans were quarantined from the rest of the Universe after the flood of 9500 BCE.

Earth is an isolated planet in the midst of an evolving
and highly organized interplanetary, intergalactic, and
multidimensional universe...a member of a collective
Universe that functions by universal law, and life was planted
here and cultivated under the stewardship of more advanced
societies. (180)

She believes the end date of The Mayan Calendar, which traditionally is 2012, is actually between 2008 and 2011. But Clow is not predicting a destructive end; she predicts a spiritual or evolutionary shift, a change of consciousness. Clow sees this event as the end of Earth's quarantine from the Universe and the decline of our aggressive and destructive ways. This new era will provide more opportunity for contact with beings from other star systems, such as the Pleiades.

Clow cites many references that help validate her work. She discusses "intelligent design" and her problems with Darwin's evolution that don't account for "gaps" in our advances. She suggests that time acceleration is occurring and that we have already begun to feel a quickening of the energy around us. She claims we have all been feeling that heightened awareness since 1998.

She encourages us to clear out the toxins from our past, so that we can move forward. She believes that "old junk" needs to be released, such as memories of catastrophic floods from our distant past. These memories are not yet conscious ones. We see future destruction because of our unacknowledged or unprocessed past. With time acceleration, the traumas and emotional blocks are coming to light, and the Iraq War is helping us remember. Our challenge is to listen to and then clear these old hurts.

A Good Introduction (2009-08-03)

Being the first book that I have read on the 2012 Mayan predictions , The Mayan Code eased me into a variety of concepts and hypothesis that ultimately revolve around the acceleration and evolution of the human will.

Ms. Clow blends academia with spirituality to deliver a work that is touching, fun, and interesting. Nothing like the doomesday messages out in the media, Ms. Clow's book focuses on the hopeful message that we have a chance to be "keepers of life, not masters of death."

Great Book! (2009-06-30)

I loved this account of 2012. This book is a solid foundation in my metaphysical library and is easy ti understand and compelling. Highly recommend this book for anyone trying to understand the Maya 2012 theory and understanding the awakening on man.

Good but you need so much more to be effective (2010-01-25)

This remains as one of the more important books on investing.
However, the authors are limited to tracking seasonal patterns, so a lot is left to be desired if you are on a path to learn about how to trade well and make money. I would recommend also the books of Toby Crabel and Linda Raschke who are professional money managers, hedge fund managers actually, who trade for a living. Not sure if you can find their materials still printed but try Ebay and Amazon you may find some copies.

Fast Delivery, Great Resource (2009-10-26)

This book reviews the cycles & seasonalities of the commodities market - great resource if trading equity stocks/options. The calendar feature allows room for tracking trades. Great resource.
