Really Cute Calendar (2009-12-28)This calendar is so cute. It has nice pictures. The only downside is it doesn't really show you how to make the cupcakes in it. Tells you what to use, but there are no detailed instructions. I just wanted it for the pictures so, I love it!

The 2010 EDIBLES calendar includes photographs by award winning photographer Robert Kaufman. The EDIBLES calendar includes fine art photographs of fruits and vegetables as they are found around the world. Each photograph captures the colors and textures of the produce as seen in natural light and each month offers a news and exciting image that will make your mouth water. The calendar has been selected as one of the best calendars of the year by the Today Show, Epicurious.com and more. It is the ideal calendar for any lover of food, photography or fine art. It adorns the wall of any kitchen with its strong colors and graphic images. No matter how many years Robert Kaufman has been producing the calendar it never gets old. Each year offers new and more exciting images. The calendar is 12 x 24" open and has 12 full color photographs. The grid on each month offers large boxes so that the calendar is not only beautiful it is functional as well. There is plenty of room to write in appointments and other important dates. Moreover the calendar is printed on high quality paper stock. Since the EDIBLES calendar has been continuously published since 1978 it has obviously stood the test of time. Many of its customers have been purchasing the calendar for 20 and 30 years and write to say they cannot imagin a year without the calendar on their wall. While EDIBLES was published long before healthy eating was in vogue it continues to reinforce the notion that food produced in the garden is the food we need to eat to remain healthy and vital. While other calendars try and imitate the EDIBLES calendar, none can compare because the EDIBLES calendar is the only calendar of its kind that only offers Robert Kaufman's photography.

The Wine Companion 2011 Wall Calendar: The Wine Companion Wall Calendar: The Wine Companion calendar presents twelve of the world's most acclaimed wines in a clear, easy-to-read style. Included is information about the importance of soil and climate, the choice of grape varieties, the vineyards, and production methods. A "Tasting Notes" section highlights the best features and recommends food pairings.
Only covers 12 varieties, why bother? (2010-09-01)For some reason I had thought this calendar was going to be about grape varietals but each month actually profiles a specific wine for the whole page. It's not general wine knowledge it is geared to one specific wine from one producer for each calendar month. If your state does not allow these wines to be sold through your state liquor agency then this calendar will do you no good (as I found out Ohio does not allow some of these wines.)
You would think that being a wine calendar it would have special events listed that pertain to the wine world. I'm thinking the calendar squares in addition to listing Mother's Day, Bank Holidays in Australia, Waitangi Day in New Zealand and Pearl Harbor Day would have also listed Bacchus' birthday, Pinot Noir Days, famous New York wine festivals, and other wine specific moments in history such as the end of Prohibition. But this calendar does not do that.
Overall, I'd skip. You're only going to get knowledge on 12 wines at the most and that's if you can even find the wines specifically mentioned. And for the price it's not worth it. Try the The Wine Lover's 2011 Page-A-Day Calendar if you want a calendar that gives versatile knowledge and more than 12 notes about wine.
